Vinayaga Chathurthi
Eco-Friendly Festivities for Vinayaga Chathurthi!
Learners from Grades 1 to 11 gathered in the auditorium to celebrate Vinayaka Chathurthi with devotion and enthusiasm! One of our learners from Kindergarten, dressed as Ganesha led a grand procession to start the festivities, with our learners singing and dancing along. Following the procession, they participated in a heartfelt Pooja seeking blessings from Lord Ganesha.
The highlight of the celebration was a skit called "The Great Challenge," the theme of which highlighted Ganesha’s wisdom and intelligence and showed how old practices can solve modern problems. It also stressed the need to use eco-friendly clay idols.
Our learners showed their commitment to sustainability by making Ganesha idols using clay, turmeric, and rice flour, paper umbrellas, and paper cones for the prasadam. They also brought flowers, leaves, puffed rice, peanuts, and jaggery as offerings.
A dance performance wrapped up the event, creating a wonderful gathering that honoured our traditions while adopting sustainable practices.
