The CVM Book Festival 2025 at Chettinad Vidya Mandir (CBSE), Puliyur, Karur, took place from January 6th to January 8th, 2025, attracting book lovers from across Karur. The event was inaugurated with a grand opening ceremony, attended by prominent dignitaries, educators, students, parents, and the general public.

The Chief Guest, Mr. M. Mohanasundaram, recipient of the Tamil Nadu Best Librarian Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu, along with Dr. A. Punitha, Principal of Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology and management representative of CVM, graced the occasion. The ceremony was presided over by Mrs. P. Vijayalakshmi, Principal of CVM, who expressed her gratitude to all attendees and organisers for contributing to the event’s success.

A key highlight of the ceremony was the lighting of the lamp, followed by the release of the first copy of a book written by Master Daksheth D., a talented Grade 7 learner from CVM. His literary achievement was celebrated by the attendees, adding a personal touch to the fair’s opening.

The book festival showcased a wide array of books from leading publishers across India, offering a 10% discount on all items, providing an excellent opportunity for students, educators, and the public to expand their collections. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Chettinad College of Engineering and Technology, as well as other schools, further enriching the experience.

The Book Festival served as a platform for the community to engage with literature, promote reading habits, and support publishers while providing an opportunity for everyone to purchase books.
