Art Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

CVM helps the learners to unleash their creativity and explore the world of art. Art club activities helped the learners to enrich their communication, critical thinking, expression, construct knowledge and to be mindful and sense the things around them.

Archery Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Archery is a captivating sport that demands skill, patience, and dedication. Whether for recreation or competition, it offers numerous benefits and opportunities for growth. The archery club in CVM provides many benefits which include:

Chess Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Chess club promoted the skill of  Critical thinking,Problem-solving, Strategic planning abilities, Social skills, Communication and Sportsmanship.

Dance Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Music and Dance clubs helped the learners to develop confidence and self-assurance when performing in front of audiences. They also learned to engage and connect with the audience through expressive movements and stage presentation.

Coding Club

Eligibility: Grade V to IX

The Coding Club for grades 5 to 9 was conducted with a focus on practical learning and skill development. The structure of the classes involved explaining the topic in detail and allowing the students to practice what they had learned. This approach was effective, and we were able to cover all the planned topics on time. The children were very enthusiastic and showed a strong eagerness to learn throughout the sessions.For grades 5 to 8, the focus was on HTML, which helped the students to develop valuable web designing skills.  They applied their creativity and design skills to build unique websites, gaining hands-on experience with web development.Grade 9 students focused on learning Python, a language that helped them develop essential computer programming skills. They created a range of applications, starting from simple projects to complex ones. This allowed them to deepen their understanding of programming and its real-world applications.

In addition to technical skills, the club also helped in enhancing the students’ logical thinking and to solve problems systematically . based on real-life scenarios.

Skating Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Skating serves a multitude of purposes, catering to diverse interests, ages, and abilities. The skating club at CVM provides various skating techniques such as Stance, Glide, Push-off, Crossovers, and Stopping.

Silambam Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Learning Silambam offers numerous benefits that extend beyond physical technique to mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. Silambam club at CVM incorporates various techniques, including:

Yoga Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Yoga contributes to the holistic development of learners. Our yoga Club cultivates physical, mental, and emotional well-being through the practice of yoga. Our expert instructors offer guided classes for all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, in various styles including Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, and Yin. Moreover, the Yoga Club helps to improve flexibility, reduce stress, or simply connect with like-minded individuals, and also it provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere for you to grow and thrive.

Cookery Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Cookery club in CVM is established with the motivation to engage learners in a fun, hands-on activity that promotes learning, teamwork, and healthy eating. Cooking is an essential life skill that promotes independence and self-sufficiency and by teaching learners about nutrition and cooking, we can promote healthy eating habits.

Cooking in a group setting encourages collaboration, communication, and problem-solving among learners.

Cooking allows learners to express their creativity and build confidence in their abilities. Cooking involves measuring, fractions, and chemistry, making it an excellent way to apply academic skills in a practical setting. Here in CVM, the learners are provided with an encouraging environment to learn and make new dishes to relish their tongue and tummy. Systematised schedules and lesson plans are defined to outline the cooking activities and skills to be taught.  We establish safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and healthy cooking environment.

We teach the learners about kitchen safety, including proper knife handling, stove safety, and fire prevention.

along with educating learners about proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices to prevent foodborne illnesses.

The cookery club is here to actively engage learners to learn a life skill activity that promotes learning, teamwork, and healthy eating.

Financial Literacy Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

The club focuses on teaching learners essential financial skills and knowledge. Its main functions include:

  • Educating about budgeting, saving, investing, and managing credit.
  • Promoting smart financial decision-making.
  • Offering discussions, and activities related to personal finance.
  • Empowering members to plan for financial stability and independence.

The goal of the club is to enhance learners’ understanding of financial concepts to help them make informed decisions throughout life.

Human Library Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Welcome to the Human Library club, a unique and innovative initiative that turns people into ‘books’ to share their stories, experiences, and expertise. This interactive platform allows individuals to ‘borrow’ a ‘human book’ for a conversation, fostering connection, understanding, and knowledge sharing.

In a world where information is readily available, the Human Library offers a refreshing approach to learning, emphasizing the value of human interaction and personal narratives. By ‘reading’ a ‘human book’, participants can gain new perspectives, challenge assumptions, and expand their understanding of diverse topics and experiences.

Each ‘human book’ is a volunteer who has agreed to share their story, skills, or expertise with others. They may be experts in a particular field, have overcome challenges, or possess unique experiences that can inspire and educate others.

The Human Library aims to:

  • Break down stereotypes and prejudices
  • Encourage active listening and curiosity

Math–Sci Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Our Math and Science Club is an exciting hub where numbers intertwine with molecules, and equations come alive through experiments. Curious minds converge here to explore the enchantment of mathematics and the marvels of science. It is the launch pad for the budding mathematician or a star-gazing scientist.

Parampara Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Parampara club students have done various activities. Like warli art, rangoli, sloka chanting, making Ganesha with clay, etc. The learning objectives are as follows.

  • Encourage creativity and imagination through vibrant patterns and designs.
  • Develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while creating  Rangoli designs.
  • Cultivate an appreciation for art and culture.
  • Encourage collaboration and communication through group art activities.

Young Authors Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

Through the Young Authors Club, we’re empowering learners to unleash their creativity by crafting their own stories, poems, and riddles based on their individual learning levels. To further inspire and guide them, we’re excited to invite experienced writers to share their valuable insights and experiences. As part of their journey, learners will also engage in a unique form of seva by raising awareness on important issues through impactful slogans and meaningful poems.   

Health Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

The CVM Health Club is a vibrant student-led initiative dedicated to promoting holistic well-being and empowering students to make informed choices for a healthier lifestyle. Through a diverse range of activities, including fitness sessions, health workshops, nutrition counseling and  mindfulness sessions, we foster a culture of health, wellness, and sustainability. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where students can develop healthy habits, build resilience, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Change Makers Club

Eligibility: Grade III to IX

The Change Makers Club is a vibrant community empowering young minds to become catalysts of positive change. We foster a culture of empathy, compassion, and social responsibility, developing leadership skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Through workshops, volunteer opportunities, mentorship programs, and idea incubation, we provide a platform for sharing ideas, experiences, and best practices, inspiring members to create meaningful impact and become the leaders of tomorrow.
