CVM Parent Engagement Program – A Week of Connection & Learning

A powerful five-day journey that brought parents into the heart of their children’s learning experience!

Day 1: Building Bridges Through Communication

The program began with a warm welcome and inspiring address by our Principal, setting the tone for active listening and effective communication.
Parents received a detailed overview of the KG curriculum and participated in art and rhythmic music sessions.
A meaningful feedback session helped reinforce two-way communication between school and home.

Day 2: Nurturing Emotional Bonds & Early Literacy

The day started with the Handle with Care activity, encouraging emotional reflection and deeper parent-child connection.
Maitreyi Sakthi’s storytelling session guided parents on choosing age-appropriate books and nurturing screen-free reading habits.
Parents also explored the Tamil curriculum, focusing on phonological awareness and playful ways to teach sound patterns.
Classroom visits allowed parents to observe teaching strategies, interact with materials, and take home valuable learning tools.

Day 3: Parenting with Awareness & Nature-Based Joy

A thought-provoking session on Different Parenting Styles prompted parents to reflect on their unique approaches.
Dr. Charumathi, our clinical psychologist, led a journey of self-awareness, helping parents explore how emotional well-being shapes parenting.
Hands-on nature-based activities brought back childhood memories, deepening the connection between parents and experiential learning.

Day 4: Seeing Through a Child’s Eyes

The day began with the heart-touching Through My Child’s Eyes activity, offering parents a glimpse into their children’s inner world.
Art Integration sessions demonstrated how creativity flows into every subject area.
The Wealth Out of Waste activity stood out, as parents creatively reused materials, taking home ideas for sustainable learning.
A heartfelt Gratitude Moment closed the day on an emotional and thankful note.

Day 5: Readiness, Rhythm & Reflection

Mental readiness was the theme of the tone-setting activity that helped parents center themselves.
A lively Zumba session broke barriers and got everyone moving with joy!
Fireless Cooking fostered collaboration and responsibility, showing how real-life tasks can be rich learning experiences.
The program concluded with a Closing the Loop session, where parents shared key takeaways, reflections, and emotional connections built throughout the week.
